I popped in to buy some fish for my very large tank. Interesting young lad served me. He wanted a photo of my tank before he’d sell me some fish. He also wanted to know how big my tank was . Did not believe me . Refused to sell fish to me. Told me “ I’m not going to loose my job over selling fish to you “ Apparently the welfare of fish was in law for two years now!! I have been a customer here for years but never got refused or told to produce evidence I had a very large tank!!! No worries I bought elsewhere , much better attitude .

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IF YOUR LOOKING TO BUY A HAMSTER❗️❗️❗️ I went in today with my mum, dad and sister to get 2 hamsters and there was a young boy and a girl called Scarlet that was on duty. They refused to let us buy the hamsters because apparently the cages we already have for them aren’t big enough, even though they keep the hamsters that are on display in little cages that could literally be described as a glass box ??? They also told us they don’t recommend cages with tubes in even though they was selling them🤣 The young boy showed us 2 hamsters that were in the same cage then told us they had been fighting, why would you keep these animals in a cage if they fight with each over? Would that not stress them out and potentially lead to a heart attack? Anyway me and my sister got our hamsters from a different shop and they are not more than happy at home in their cages.

I had an uncomfortable experience with one staff member (man with glasses) who appeared overly focused on his own fish tank and began questioning colleagues about sales in front of customers. This felt unprofessional and created an awkward atmosphere. It also seemed to undermine other team members, who had otherwise been very helpful and approachable. Raising internal concerns in front of customers is not appropriate, especially after a purchase has already been completed. While personal experience and knowledge are valuable, it came across as though individual preferences were being presented as policy, which may cause confusion for both staff and customers. Overall, the rest of the team seemed professional, though the situation suggested some internal tension that affected the customer experience.

A senior female staff member on duty was rude, disrespectful, and demonstrated an inability to handle pressure during a busy period. She spoke rudely, became frustrated, raised her voice, and was not willing to assist me. She failed to respond to my query in a calm or professional manner, which resulted in a poor customer experience. I am disappointed with the level of service I received from her. I hope that staff receive proper training to handle busy situations politely, professionally, and with a willingness to help, ensuring a better experience for all customers.
